| Al Bellaire helped found Petroleum Engineers Inc ("PEI") in 1970 and has been the Vice President and Engineering Manager since then. Prior to his career with PEI, he worked for Drilling Well Control, Baroid and Shell Oil Company where some of his jobs have included senior drilling engineer, well control engineer and mud engineer. In his current role at PEI, Al focuses on overseeing and managing the Hamilton Group's drilling project management with a specialty in well control and blow-out team management. Al is experienced with jackups, drillships, inland barges, floaters, platforms, semi-submersibles and submersibles and in drilling extended reach, horizontal, and HTHP wells.
Al began his career with Shell Oil Company in New Orleans, LA after graduating from University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1960 with a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering. Al is a member of SPE, API, AADE, AADC and IADC.
While at PEI, Al has led and/or supported projects for Walter Oil and Gas and Remington Oil and Gas, among many others.
