Charles "Chuck" R. Brown II joined Hamilton Engineering, Inc. ("HEI") in 2004 as a senior deepwater drilling engineering consultant. In 2006, he became a principal of Hamilton Engineering and is currently President of Engineering Services for the Hamilton Group and a member of the Board of Directors.

In his current role at HEI, Chuck focuses management of Hamilton Group's staff engineers and on deepwater project management, planning and operations with a specialty in optimizing drilling and operating efficiency through technical innovation. Chuck has recent experience with a dual activity deepwater drillship and a fifth generation semi-submersible.

Prior to his career with HEI, Chuck worked for Triton Engineering Services Company covering domestic and international operations as a Senior Drilling Engineer/Supervisor where he interacted with exploration representatives of lease holding companies developing viable exploration prospects. He was also named Manager of Planning and Evaluation Engineering.

Chuck began his career with Marathon Oil Company in 1983 as a drilling engineer in Shreveport and later Lafayette covering the Gulf Coast and offshore Gulf of Mexico. Chuck is a native of Houston and graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas and a member of SPE and AADE.

At HEI, Chuck has lead and/or supported deepwater projects for BP America (Thunder Horse) and Devon Energy.
